Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • Short running title is necessary, not exceeding 80 characters including spaces, and place it beneath the main title.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.

     

    REFERENCES: reference numbers in the text should appear sequentially in square brackets [  ] and not as super- or sub-scripts. Each reference should be given a separate reference number. The references should be listed in the References section as 1., 2., 3., without [  ].

    The total number of references should not exceed 50

    (s) References Writing: Please note the following examples:

    JOURNAL: Gashaw, W.; Yohannes, W.; Chandravanshi, B.S.; Getachew N. Levels of heavy metals and physicochemical properties of honey from four selected areas of EthiopiaBull. Chem. Soc. Ethiop2024, 38, 1521-1531. 

    Do not use et al. Include the names of all the authors.

    The authors are advised to make comprehensive review of the scientific literature and appropriately cite related work published by the BCSE.

    3.3 Formulas, Schemes, Figures and Tables should be drawn using appropriate software and should be placed within the main body of the manuscript. They may be drawn in 1.5 times the size finally required. The font size of lettering on Figures should ensure that reductions of ca 70% would still result in easily readable sizes. The widths of Tables and Figures should not exceed 5 inches (12.5 cm) in the published version. Legends should be typed below the Figures and should not be grouped with the Figures. 

  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.

           The total number of Schemes, Tables, and Figures should not exceed 10

  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
